Ronald J. Clements, P.Eng., President Ron Clements brings a strong technical expertise and a practical, hands-on approach to the helm of Codeco. Committed to value, integrity and results-oriented business, he has gained invaluable industry experience through roles in project management, drilling and service rigs, production, completions, workovers and abandonments. In 1979, Ron launched his oilpatch career by working as a Roughneck and progressing to Driller on service rigs in Northern Alberta. He later attended Memorial University of Newfoundland and graduated in 1987 with a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering. He was an Operations Engineer with a major producing company in Swift Current, SK before joining Codeco Consulting Inc. in 1989. Ron became a partner and Vice President of Codeco Consulting in 1994 and President of Codeco Consulting as of November, 2001. Blake J. Walliser, Vice President Operations Blake Walliser joined Codeco in 1996, becoming a partner in Codeco Consulting in 1999 and Vice President Operations in November, 2001. He is currently responsible for providing technical support and supervision to Codeco's wellsite supervisors as well as designing and preparing operations programs for completions, workovers and abandonments throughout Western Canada. Blake's career in oil and gas field and technical operations began in 1989. He has held various technical positions with a producing company, working throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. Shawn Pitkanen, Vice President Drilling Shawn Pitkanen brings 20 years of oil & gas experience to the Codeco team. Throughout the years, Shawn held positions varying from Production Operations to Drilling / Completions Site Supervision. In 2000, Shawn moved to Calgary taking on a Drilling position for a mid-sized operator. Shawn joined the Codeco team in 2003 as a Senior Operations Technologist. His responsibilities include all operations related to surface land, wellsite construction, drilling, AEUB approvals, reclamation and abandonment's. Shawn's main experience has been in the Deep Basin, drilling wells up to 4000m. He also has extensive experience in drilling directional, horizontal and re-entry wells. Shawn is highly experienced, dependable and has a great business sense for his role as Vice President of Drilling. Ian MacGillivray, C.E.T, Senior Operations Technologist Originating his career in the Oil and Gas industry in 1994, Ian MacGillivray started off in field operations working for a leading service company. Ian worked his way through all the different services, working in primary cementing, Coiled Tubing and Fracturing. Ian later attended the technical college of S.A.I.T (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) and graduated with a Diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology in 2000. Ian continued his career with the same Service Company working as a Field Engineer throughout western Canada and western United States providing technical support to clients as well as Operational support to the company. Following that in 2002, Ian joined a start up company as Manager of sales, Marketing and Operations where he had an opportunity to initiate sales and relations with clients, providing technical support in various Coiled Tubing Operations. Ian joined Codeco in 2002. Ian brings to Codeco a service orientated background with a hands-on approach to problem solving and a relentless enthusiasm on getting the job done correct and on time for the client. Ian is responsible for the design and preparation of drilling programs along with cost estimates for oil and gas wells. He also supervises and provides technical support as well as reporting to the client, conducting sales calls and establishing excellent client relationships. |
